Every one of Louisiana's 64 parishes, hand-lettered one by one into the shape of the Pelican State.

Each PlaceMaps print starts as a hand-built Illustrator file: every name is rotated, stretched and fitted letter by letter until the words become the map. Look closely and you'll find Orleans, East Baton Rouge, Lafayette and every other parish.
